Bei Anschluss an USB 3 10 Mbit liefert es Schreib- und Lesegschwindigkeiten um 1000 MB. Geschwindigkeiten mit CrystalDiskMarkPortable gemessen. An einem Thunderbird 4 Dock ist die (Schreib-)Geschwindigkeit möglicherweise geringer wenn sich das Laufwerk den Anschluss mit mehreren Geräten teilen muss. 990 Pro deshalb weil es einen Ram-Cache gibt und die Leistungsaufnahme geringer ist.
