If you like to watch movies, play video games, listen to music, or watch streaming TV (i.e. Netflix or Disney+) this can handle it. You don't need the faster memory bus or "PCIe Gen5" technology unless you're getting into app development, GIS mapping & computations, molecular modeling, climate modeling, or AutoCAD engineering on a professional level - something where you're working with single files bigger than 250GB all day every day. I do not know anything about the most optimized SSD nor do I care enough to educate myself on this matter. All I know is that I needed more storage for my PS5. I bought this because it was at a great price and with good reviews. It was a great decision because it was easy to install and feels seamless when saving and loading games off of it. Very much plug and play and I love it.
