Generally I'm pretty skeptical of alternate name storage where I stick to the few that I know, but decided to give this one a shot. Installation is easy, all of the necessary parts are included depnding on how you want to install it. It comes with a DIY heatsink set up and thermal pads, which is handy. I had no issues with drive detection and writing files during install seemed to be very quick. I have yet to run into any performance or integrity issues with the drive so far. The capacity is accurate, but for anyone wondering, it does not show as a 512 GB drive, since GBs are calculated as 1,000 MB instead of the correct 1,024, the calculation is off and you'll see around 460-465 depending on how you format it (assuming Windows) Writing small files will usually report lower write speeds, but in most testing, this drive still seems to be VERY fast. If you're on a budget and looking for a decent drive, I'd definitely give this one a shot

There is a lot of chatter about no-name flash drives & NVMe drives. Often, they are rated for a certain size, priced very low and they end up being a disappointment. Amazon is really buyer friendly so if you have a problem with a product, returns are super easy. I took a chance and ordered this 512 NVMe M.2 drive for one of our computers. It needed an up-to-date drive and these drives are pretty fast, even Gen 3’s. The drive arrived in good order. Mine came with everything in the Amazon listing (see the pictures in the listing). I have an external enclosure for these drives so I inserted this into that, initialized & setup a partition, formatted and it reported the correct space. The true test is to fill the drive up with data to ensure it still works. Some no-name brands will start to throw errors, or over write files if they are not genuine. I was able to fill this drive to near capacity of video files without error, although with the drive connected via USB it did take a little while – since I was bench testing it. This brand is genuine enough to support the capacity stated. As far as the Gen4, I don’t have a system that supported those speeds, however it did hold a consistent write speed connected in the enclosure and then USB connected. $50 (retail) for a 512gb is not a bad deal. I plan to install this into a computer as a second drive for backup purposes of critical files, now that it passed the bench test.
Usually when you buy NVME (M.2) hard drive you never know what you're going to get. I've bought quite a few over the last few years and some are under the speed advertised and some just about get there. The key word in the description is "up to" speeds of XXXX mbps. That's always the "gotcha" phrase on a hard drive that you gets you riled up when it doesn't even come close to advertised speeds. However rest assured when I tell you that GiGimundo drive is everything it advertises and more. I benched it a couple of times and both times I achieved over 8,000mpbs (read) speed. It really doesn't get any faster then that. Again I've bought quite a few over the years and I was pleasantly surprised. Of course this is a "Gen-4" drive and you need to make sure that your Motherboard supports "Gen-4." Of course it's backwards compatible if you have a lower "Gen" but you won't get the advertised speeds unless you're "Gen-4." Worth the money all day long. If anything goes sideways I'll update the review in the future.
