This is a great hard drive, very small, very fast and works.
maybe they aren't the best. but it's probably the best bang for You're buck. I've used these for around 3and a half to possibly over 4 years. I bought a few on amazon (2 of the 4) and two elsewhere. I've not had any corrupted data through My years using these. so if Amazon has them at the cheapest then buy them here. if they're cheaper at another place then buy them there.
I have 5 of the passports. This one is slightly narrower than previous one. The passports seem to be very reliable and easy to use. I never use the software that comes with it too complex for me or else the explanations are too time consuming. I just connect to computer and use file explorer to copy files to the hard drive. It is also possible to work directly off the external hard drive.
Works great and has a good protective case.
Bought to use as an external data storage device for data I don’t want to lose, and I don’t want exclusively on the internal drive. This has been an amazing drive, VERY quick data transfer; 700GB video file - 10 to 12 seconds from an Alienware tower to this drive.
You need to download software and change system settings to use this. It’s too complicated for a non IT person to set up. My seagate would never and now I know never to buy this brand again.
Have been using the product for six or so months now. It serves as a backup drive run with Carbon Copy Cloner. No problems to date. I highly recommend ordering it.
