Comments from Amazon:
I was impressed by its small size, light weight and non-slip material on the back which makes it perfect for travel without taking up too much space. I use it for backups, it's quite handy with a fast read/write speed, it doesn't get hot and is easy to use. Solidly built it has holes to fit a cord so you don't lose it due to its small size. Highly recommended!
Generally a good product that meets specifications and expectations. I purchased 2 x 4TB drives and 1 failed before I could use it: the drive appeared on my laptop but could not be accessed. Crucial replaced the SSD drive at no cost, although the process took 2 months. The other drive works great and I use it for high bandwidth data acquisition while imaging the sun. I could not ask for better: slim, light, fast, sturdy. A great product.
Being well into my senior years, I am, by virtue of time, not a computer expert or anywhere close to one. In the past I've struggled with backup drives which required problems I couldn't conquer (FAT32???). Finally, here is a drive which was easy to setup and required nothing more than following simple directions. And it came with a 5-year warranty upon registration. This came pre-formatted for my Mac and was actually "Plug & Play." And it's SMALL ! My only niggle is the USB (C) connector cord is a few inches too short and really stiff, so locating this SSD is somewhat limited. But other than those minor items, it's a big BRAVO to Crucial for such a fine device.
First of all, what I like about this SSD: - The size is great. It's super small and easily fits in my pockets. It can even fit into my wallet if needed. - The terabyte of space is more than enough for me. It's pretty easy to make folders and organize my files. From pictures and videos. - There aren't any slowdowns or choppyness. All the videos and images I put on uploaded almost instantly and kept the original definition. - The SSD seems very well constructed. I'm always leaning on the side of caution so it would be rare that it would ever be in a position where it could be damaged in the first place, but the metal build is very nice. A few negatives about the SSD include: - There is no password protection like advertised. I'm also not sure if it includes the encryption. - The program does not interface well with my on device gallery. To open files I have to use a file manager and select images one by one. Definitely something to keep in mind if you are using this as a gallery backup for something like photography. - The included cable is nice, but it is somewhat of a hassle to use everytime I want to use the SSD. I wish there was an included case to hold everything together to things have no chance of getting lost. I still think that this is a great SSD and will continue to use it. There are just somethings that aren't said in the advertising that should be taken into consideration before buying it
i did not expect this 4Tb SSD to be this small, but it is fast and it works very well. I have been using it for a few weeks now and it does not disappoint.
These drives are fast and build quality is very good. It's nice too that it has an led light to indicate activity. Also the price has come down making them more affordable.
Crucial is a well known brand and I’ve never had any issues with their memory products. This one has been reliable storing and transferring 4K videos and gets expected speeds. Nice and compact size and generally very good for the price.
