If you're looking to supercharge your laptop or desktop with faster load times, smoother multitasking, and ample storage, the Fikwot FN501 Pro 512GB NVMe SSD might just be the upgrade you need. This M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3 x4 internal solid-state drive boasts impressive read speeds of up to 3,500MB/s and write speeds of up to 2,800MB/s, making it a powerhouse for gamers, content creators, and professionals alike.

The FN501 Pro is packed with features like 3D NAND TLC technology, a graphene cooling sticker for heat dissipation, and a 320TBW endurance rating, ensuring durability and performance even under heavy workloads. But does it live up to the hype? Let’s dive into the pros and cons based on real customer experiences.

Pros and Cons: What Customers Are Saying

1. Speed and Performance

One of the standout features of the Fikwot FN501 Pro is its blazing-fast speed. Customers have consistently praised its ability to significantly reduce load times and improve overall system responsiveness.

  • Pros:

    • "Speed is quite fast. I took a leap of faith, and I am glad I did," says one satisfied user.
    • Another reviewer notes, "Loading a game is faster, no doubt."
    • The 3,500MB/s read speed and 2,800MB/s write speed make it a top contender in its price range.
  • Cons:

    • A few users pointed out that the drive’s performance can dip when used with a Thunderbolt 4 NVMe adapter, likely due to the lack of a robust cache.

2. Installation and Compatibility

The FN501 Pro is designed for easy installation and broad compatibility, making it a versatile choice for various systems.

  • Pros:

    • "Easy to install, just be careful with the small screws so you don’t lose them," advises one user.
    • It’s compatible with Windows 7/8/10/11 and works seamlessly with laptops, desktops, and all-in-one PCs supporting M.2 PCIe 3.0 interfaces.
    • The M.2 2280 form factor ensures it fits into most modern systems without hassle.
  • Cons:

    • Some users noted that the drive’s actual usable space is slightly less than advertised (e.g., 1.9TB instead of 2TB), which is common for most SSDs due to formatting and system overhead.

3. Durability and Cooling

The inclusion of a graphene cooling sticker is a unique feature that sets the FN501 Pro apart from competitors.

  • Pros:

    • The cooling sticker effectively dissipates heat, ensuring the drive remains stable during intense workloads.
    • With a 320TBW endurance rating and a 3-year warranty, customers feel confident in the drive’s longevity.
    • One user describes it as a "workhorse" that handles constant use without issues.
  • Cons:

    • While the cooling sticker is a great addition, some users mentioned that the drive can still get warm under heavy usage, though not to the point of overheating.

4. Value for Money

The Fikwot FN501 Pro offers excellent performance at a competitive price, making it a favorite among budget-conscious buyers.

  • Pros:

    • "Great price for fast extra storage NVMe," says one happy customer.
    • Another reviewer calls it a "great bargain for the price," especially when compared to higher-end brands like Samsung.
    • The 5-star customer support and 24-hour technical assistance add extra value to the purchase.
  • Cons:

    • A few users expressed concerns about the drive’s long-term reliability, though no major issues have been reported so far.

 It works great

Title says it all. It works great. Speed is quite fast. I took a leap of faith, and I am glad I did. I have had no issues, and it works fine. If you are looking to upgrade and not go past 1tb, you cannot go wrong with this one.

these days you with larger programs and data , you need more space and this helps to do that

a perfect solution for upgrading the memory on my laptop. these days you with larger programs and data , you need more space and this helps to do that . in my case , easy to install , just be careful with the small screws so you dont' loose them. its a workhorse because i use my laptop all the time and is a great bargain for price . my laptop is much faster and i have the space i need for my programs. I consider this a win.

Great price for fast extra storage NVMe

I read a few reviews mostly the bad ones

Wow I thought my first ssd was fast BITD. I read a few reviews mostly the bad ones. I decided on this lil guy bc of price. Take a chance on a 100 bones. It's pretty good so far. Loading a game is faster no doubt. Hope it last awhile. Like any drive easy enough to install n allocate but it is a little card not a boxed ssd or spiny drive. It's tiny. Has about as much materials in it as an old spiny drives connectors. If I had another bay for it I get another. Gamer to gamer get 1 install it make sure it works. If it's DOA send it back right away. Don't wait a month. I'll update if it stops working.

0tb has 1

Alright not too if line mbps but also doesn’t have a perfect 2.0tb has 1.9tb

r

Great 2tb ssd very fast data transfer and open really quick also very reliable I would recommend it because I have 2 other types Samsung Evo and they seem to be slower great customer support and service also 5 stars

Except for that the drive is solid

Works as it should but you can definitely see the lack of a decent cache when used with a thunderbolt 4 nvme adapter (you are probably not going to use the drive this way). Except for that the drive is solid.
