Pros: What Customers Love
1. Blazing-Fast Speeds
One of the standout features of the Fikwot FX550 is its speed. Customers have praised its ability to deliver on the promised read and write speeds. One reviewer noted, "Wow, I thought my first SSD was fast BITD. Loading a game is faster, no doubt." Another user mentioned, "Great 2TB SSD, very fast data transfer and opens files really quick."
For gamers and professionals who rely on quick boot times and seamless multitasking, this SSD is a game-changer.
2. Easy Installation
The Fikwot FX550 comes with a screw and screwdriver, making installation a breeze. A customer shared, "Easy to install, just be careful with the small screws so you don’t lose them." This user-friendly approach ensures that even those new to upgrading their storage can handle the setup without hassle.
3. Reliable Performance
Durability and reliability are key selling points for this SSD. Customers have reported stable performance even under heavy workloads. One reviewer said, "It’s a workhorse because I use my laptop all the time, and it’s a great bargain for the price."
The SSD’s shock resistance and temperature resistance make it a dependable choice for long-term use.
4. Excellent Value for Money
Many customers have highlighted the affordability of the Fikwot FX550 compared to other high-capacity SSDs. One user stated, "Great price for fast extra storage NVMe." Another added, "I took a leap of faith, and I am glad I did. If you are looking to upgrade, you cannot go wrong with this one."
Cons: Areas for Improvement
1. Cache Limitations
While the Fikwot FX550 performs well in most scenarios, some users have noted limitations when using it with a Thunderbolt 4 NVMe adapter. One reviewer mentioned, "You can definitely see the lack of a decent cache when used with a Thunderbolt 4 NVMe adapter." However, this is a niche use case and may not affect the majority of users.
2. Slightly Lower Usable Capacity
A few customers pointed out that the usable capacity is slightly less than advertised. One user said, "Alright, not too far off in terms of Mbps, but also doesn’t have a perfect 2.0TB; it has 1.9TB." This is a common issue with most storage devices due to formatting and system requirements, but it’s worth noting for those who need every last gigabyte.
3. Compatibility Limitations
While the SSD is compatible with most systems, it’s important to note that it’s not compatible with PS5 consoles. This might be a dealbreaker for gamers looking to upgrade their console storage.
Final Thoughts: Is the Fikwot FX550 NVMe SSD 4TB Worth It?
The Fikwot FX550 NVMe SSD 4TB is a solid choice for anyone looking to upgrade their storage with a high-capacity, high-performance SSD. Its blazing-fast speeds, easy installation, and reliable performance make it a standout option in its price range.
However, it’s not without its flaws. The lack of a robust cache in certain scenarios and the slightly lower usable capacity might be minor drawbacks for some users. Additionally, PS5 gamers will need to look elsewhere for their storage needs.
Final Verdict
If you’re looking for an affordable, high-performance SSD for your desktop, laptop, or mini PC, the Fikwot FX550 is an excellent choice. It delivers on its promises of speed, durability, and reliability, making it a worthwhile investment for most users.

a perfect solution for upgrading the memory on my laptop. these days you with larger programs and data , you need more space and this helps to do that . in my case , easy to install , just be careful with the small screws so you dont' loose them. its a workhorse because i use my laptop all the time and is a great bargain for price . my laptop is much faster and i have the space i need for my programs. I consider this a win.
Great price for fast extra storage NVMe
Wow I thought my first ssd was fast BITD. I read a few reviews mostly the bad ones. I decided on this lil guy bc of price. Take a chance on a 100 bones. It's pretty good so far. Loading a game is faster no doubt. Hope it last awhile. Like any drive easy enough to install n allocate but it is a little card not a boxed ssd or spiny drive. It's tiny. Has about as much materials in it as an old spiny drives connectors. If I had another bay for it I get another. Gamer to gamer get 1 install it make sure it works. If it's DOA send it back right away. Don't wait a month. I'll update if it stops working.
Alright not too if line mbps but also doesn’t have a perfect 2.0tb has 1.9tb
Great 2tb ssd very fast data transfer and open really quick also very reliable I would recommend it because I have 2 other types Samsung Evo and they seem to be slower great customer support and service also 5 stars
Works as it should but you can definitely see the lack of a decent cache when used with a thunderbolt 4 nvme adapter (you are probably not going to use the drive this way). Except for that the drive is solid.
Title says it all. It works great. Speed is quite fast. I took a leap of faith, and I am glad I did. I have had no issues, and it works fine. If you are looking to upgrade and not go past 1tb, you cannot go wrong with this one.
