Pros and Cons: What Customers Are Saying
Performance and Speed
The Patriot P210 SSD delivers a noticeable improvement in system performance, especially for users upgrading from mechanical hard drives. One customer who installed it in their PS4 Pro reported dramatically reduced load times for games like No Man's Sky. Another user praised its affordable price-to-performance ratio, noting that it’s perfect for small applications, photos, and videos. However, some users pointed out that it’s not the fastest SSD on the market, which is expected given its budget-friendly positioning.
Key Takeaways:
- Pros: Noticeable speed boost, great for gaming and everyday tasks.
- Cons: Not the fastest SSD available, but adequate for the price.
Build Quality and Durability
The Patriot P210 SSD has received mixed reviews when it comes to durability. While many users have had positive experiences, one customer reported a failure after six months, which led to data loss. This raises concerns about long-term reliability, especially for users storing critical data. On the flip side, other customers have used multiple units without issues, suggesting that failures may be isolated incidents. The 3-year warranty does provide some peace of mind, but it’s always a good idea to back up important data.
Key Takeaways:
- Pros: Solid build quality for the price, backed by a 3-year warranty.
- Cons: Some reports of early failures, so backup your data.
Ease of Use and Compatibility
Installing the Patriot P210 SSD is straightforward, and it’s compatible with Windows 7, 8.0, 8.1, and 10. Its 2.5-inch form factor makes it versatile for both laptops and desktops. One user mentioned using it in an external device that mimics a CD/DVD drive, highlighting its adaptability. However, a few customers noted that the drive occasionally loses connection, though this seems to be a rare issue.
Key Takeaways:
- Pros: Easy to install, compatible with a wide range of systems.
- Cons: Occasional connection issues reported by a small number of users.
Value for Money
The Patriot P210 SSD shines in the value department. Many customers praised its affordable price, especially for those looking to upgrade older systems. One user even purchased multiple units for various projects, citing the low cost and decent performance as key factors. However, the risk of early failure may deter some buyers, particularly those who prioritize long-term reliability over upfront savings.
Key Takeaways:
- Pros: Excellent value for budget-conscious buyers.
- Cons: Potential durability concerns may offset the low price for some users.
Conclusion: Is the Patriot Memory P210 SSD Worth It?
The Patriot Memory P210 SATA 3 128GB SSD is a solid choice for users seeking an affordable upgrade to their system’s performance. It delivers noticeable speed improvements, is easy to install, and offers great value for money. However, its mixed durability reviews and occasional connection issues mean it may not be the best option for those storing critical data or needing a long-term solution.
Final Verdict: If you’re on a tight budget and need a reliable SSD for everyday tasks or gaming, the Patriot P210 is worth considering. Just make sure to back up your data regularly to mitigate any potential risks. For more demanding users or those prioritizing longevity, it might be worth investing in a higher-end model.

Comments from Amazon:
I tested one of the 10. Usually in a pack like this one out of 10 is DOA. I don't have enough time to test them all but at this price u can't really complain. The one I tried worked well for the price. I can't speak for longevity and I didn't do any benchmarks or anything. Some ssds fail at a higher rate depending on how they are used. Great little upgrade for old laptops or simple office desktop builds. I would recommend keeping crucial data backed up with a drive this cost effective. They will be put to good use. Probably paired with a 500gb- 1tb HDD and some cloud backups. Rsync is always a good idea too. Lots of potential for tinkering with SSD raids when I get a chance too.
For my use case of buying it simply for small applications, notes, photo's and video's this works perfectly. Isn't the most high speed SSD out there however it's quick enough and affordable. For now I can't say on the reliability of how long it will survive since I've only had it for a few weeks but what I can say is that it hasn't gone out or lost connection once during my time having it.
No comment any. Thank
I bought probably 5-10 of these of various sizes over the past year. The price was good, Patriot is a well known company, the performance was what it should be for a sata SSD, but this one failed at 6 months. The problem is even though all the other ones are still good (as far as I know) I can't recommend this product any more at any price point because the risk of failure and data loss. Thankfully The RMA process seems pretty painless except for covering return shipping charges.
Duro lucho más de lo esperado ,pero no es por culpa del vendedor pienso yo ,pero si el artículo que pedí
I replaced the mechanical hard drive in my PS4 Pro with this Patriod SSD. The improvement in load time is dramatic. No Man's Sky used to take several minutes to load. With this SSD, most times, I don't even see the circular loading screen. It goes right to the middleware logos and title screen.
I've been a loyal PNY customer for a very long time, their storage products in particular have been reliable and performant every time. But I needed an inexpensive, low-performance SATA type SSD for an external device (one of those cool ones that pretends to be a CD/DVD device!) so I just went for whatever was cheap. I mean, cheap but from an actual vendor that exists, not a questionable random-letters name Amazon seller. The Patriot is terrific. It's more storage than I need, I could have gone with 1TB easily, but the price, performance, and quality are all totally fine. I'll continue to use PNY by default, but I have no objections to buying Patriot products based on my experience this time!
