Bought it as an upgrade for my Acer Aspire A515 to complement the included 256GB SSD. Installation was easy following Acer's youtube video and the accessories provided by Acer (all I needed was a Phillips '1' screwdriver. So far works nice. 1.8GB capacity after NTFS formatting (it comes unformatted). My laptop model - Acer Aspire 5 A515-55-56VK. Speed is not amazing but that is to be expected from an HD unit.
This hard disk is reasonably fast for a non-SSD device and for the same 2.5 form factor as the builtin HDD on a laptop (which are typically no larger than 1TB), at 2TB it provides more than twice the capacity. At less than 65USD it is also quite affordable on a cost per storage space basis. I installed this on in a NUC that had a 512GB SSD and space for a 2.5in laptop HDD. It was found and identified without issue in Windows. The most difficult parts were finding the connectors on the NUC, and migrating the user directories (due to onedrive) and virtual memory to the new hard disk. It now works without issues and serves it purpose as storage space and to prolong the SSD. I am rating this four stars as it was the only hard disk that I found in the standard laptop SATA mountable size. As always, your mileage and preferences may vary...

I fremember when memory was very expensive and you never had enough. Now its no longer the case. The cost is more than reasonable for what you get and now I have more memory than I'll probably ever need for my laptop,
This is a workhorse. Running last two years in my Tablo OTA receiver to record broadcast TV. Records and plays back flawlessly still. Have no issues at all with this HD.
Not sure but I bought the wrong product after researching it even further I'm pretty sure that it's a good product just wasn't going to work for my computer
I purchased a Mac Mini hub from Hagibis that included space for a small hard drive. I decided that this Seagate 2TB drive would be perfect for this use. It installed easily and the Mac detected it automatically. I reformatted the drive and have been happy with its performance. I plan to use it as the Mac's primary document drive as the Mini's internal drive is a bit small. I chose this over a similar sized SSD mostly because of its better price.
