This particular drive is NOT for laptops... it's double-thickness does not allow it to fit into the drive bay of my laptop. It would have been nice to have seen this detail listed on the posting. I wouldn't waste your money the hard drive did work great for about a year and out of the blue it crashed I was using it as a hard drive for my backup files and now it's all gone!😡 now when I plug it in all it does is Click! click! click!
