Very Good

I work in a field where I constantly have to save and back up files, so reliable storage devices with a lot of space are required

This portable SSD drive is just what I needed. I work in a field where I constantly have to save and back up files, so reliable storage devices with a lot of space are required. This SSD drive has 512 gb of space, and it’s been solid and reliable in the five months I’ve been using it. I use it every day. I know I could save files to the cloud (which I do) or to jump drives, but I like having a physical portable drive with my files on it, and I like a portable drive with fast transfer speeds. This SSD drive is just that – fast. I can transfer large files in minutes instead of hours. I’ve transferred large videos, hi-res photos, and large Adobe files. I’m very pleased with it, and I’d highly recommend it.

I was getting 220 to 250 mb/s going to it and getting over 300mb/s going from it

It's very fast much faster than a USB drive. I was getting 220 to 250 mb/s going to it and getting over 300mb/s going from it. It just plug and play on my Win 11 Machine using a USB 3.2 Port. I could watch videos from it with no lag at all and they would start much faster than my traditional external drives. The Downside: If you're using any kind of download manager where you are downloading files from online it will be very fast as the drive will write fast and not be a bottle neck as along as you are only downloading ONE FILE AT A TIME. When I was trying to download multiple file at the same time like I do all of the time on my other hard drives or even SSDs, this drive could not do it. It would slow way down or give me I/O errors and not work at all. If you're only working with one file stream at a time 5 Stars! If you need to have multiple data stream writing to it at the same time, this is not the drive for you. So I give 3 Stars overall. A sold drive if you only use one data stream at a time that write to the drive.

The drive provides pretty decent speeds when attached to a laptop USB C port and provides better than USB flash drive performance

This portable SSD works as expected. The drive provides pretty decent speeds when attached to a laptop USB C port and provides better than USB flash drive performance. Being an SSD drive brings the benefits of longer flash storage health and allows the use of SSD utilities to manage and maintain the drive. This drive works well as a live service OS drive to easily move between systems and boot from with a centralized profile and utilities disk.

99 and I have to say that this is solid

I have the 120G version for $18.99 and I have to say that this is solid. I wanted to have an outside storage option for the videos I'm making for my online courses. They take up SO much space on my google drive compared to the PDFs and docs, and I don't need to have access to them all the time, so a SSD just makes sense for me. This is my first time using one that is this small. I think the last time I got an external drive was 15 or 20 years ago and it was much much bigger! I can't believe how tiny these are now! I had no problem having my macbook pro read that it was attached, and I was able to easily drag and drop my mp4 files into the icon. I used my label maker to label the outside so that I can easily tell which one this is... because I plan on getting more. I'd say a solid value for what it is! And a good intro for a newbie to these new versions of external drives!

Went on line and reported the issue and never heard from the manufacturer

When plugged in it interfered with the operation of my mouse. Went on line and reported the issue and never heard from the manufacturer. Returned the item.

2 Gen 1

This 120GB portable SSD offers fast and reliable performance, with speeds of up to 350MB/s via USB 3.2 Gen 1. It's perfect for quick file transfers, backups, and on-the-go storage. The compact design is highly portable, while its dustproof and high-temperature-resistant build ensures durability in tough environments. The Type-C connection is versatile and works seamlessly with modern devices, making it a practical choice for laptops, tablets, or smartphones. If you need a dependable and portable SSD for everyday use, this is an excellent option that combines speed with resilience.
