Look, if you want a fast drive, this ain't it. But if you want the speed of Serial ATA SSD (which is no slouch for daily use) this is your guy. True, you can have instant boot times with your machine using NVME drive, but you have a workhorse computer you likely need a big drive just for storage. Or maybe like me your workhorse also has a gajillion games from Steam on it and you're tired of running out of space. At any rate, this suck is huge, and it's plenty fast for playing the hundreds and hudreds of games I want to play. There's no noticeable load time increase, no stuttering or chugging. You would have to be running something VERY IO intensive (video editing, ultra hd gaming) to notice the difference from an NVME 99% of the time. So yeah, it's wonderful for gaming and general use. An unexpected benefit is that once I swapped it my laptop ran much COOLER. What a nice unexpected side benefit! If I need more cheap storage I know which brand I'm buying.
