Cheap and does its job.
I love how easy is to install. I had a question about this product and seller was quick to communicate. Would buy again from this seller!
Yea is working and even fast and furious. Open the shell, save the screws, pull it in the right door under the hood. Close the shell, put the screw back, turn your laptop and, the engine now is 20 tune more reactive fast and reliable, due to the fact that nothing is moving or shaking, the amount of energy used is a fraction, is a non volatile board, guys it works, and I’m gonna buy another two, one for my Roman Empire Dell laptop 17” series 15 without battery, a real gladiator with wounds and lost pieces, and my MacBookPro A1278, gift of Cleopatra of Egypt, a real rare example of an intel based motherboard that host a lot very ancient and historical components. The Mac has already two SSD and 8 GB, is fast, but I noticed that with this small guy here my Mac gain a couple of Hundred years. The only issue is, every board like this claim itself as a superstar, a king a queen, before them then all the other storages. So boot up, change the disk boot on the new nvme, transfer the OS using whatever sw you know better., when finish reboot, call the bios, fix permanently the nvme as boot, save reboot. Boom, warp speed in silence. Now hands on the wallet buy one try and if you don’t like, send it back. You are not compatible with this technology, try the DLT carouselle.
Made old machine act better than when it was new.
This Msata works out of the box with the bios and windows both recognizing and then with a quick fat32format it was usuable as a storage drive. I was using this drive for some games and under heavy usage it would overheat causing crashes of the games. The drive would disapear from the system after overheating and would only reappear after removing and letting cool down for atleast an hour. I live in Seattle where it is cool most of the year and i run ac, the ambient temp inside my pc was no near enough to cause this from standard usage. During downloads from steam to this drive the computer would completley lock up at about 30% download to this drive consistantly. Finally the drive even after cooling down and replacing would randomly caused blue screen of Death issues which bricked my windows boot loader so badly it forced a complete wipe and reinstall of windows. I now have been running without it for a month without a single issue i was experiencing before. I am passed my return window greatly or i would request it but as of now do not recommend these drives unless youre using it for some very seldomly access files that dont put it under any sort of load.
These Fanxiang mSATA SSDs are working fine in my Lenovo laptop. I have two of these. I would have bought more, but Amazon had no more. I bought another brand – and while they're fine – I'd prefer to have the Fanxiang brand. These modules are higher quality. My opinion is based on their packaging and the fact that they have serial numbers.
Although this drive did not work for my original application. The laptop I was working on actually needed a nvme drive instead of this one. But I still found a use for it as I put it in an adapter and now I use it on my PS3 slim. Great upgrade over the original 120GB drive. Loading times are not much different, but that is due mostly to hardware limitations of the console. It's been working pretty good for a while now and no issues.
